Cultural Activities for kids

Our guides have a lot of experience with children (most of them are parents themselves!) and can show your children an unforgettable experience. The villagers and host communities are great with kids and simply love them! Your kids can enjoy unique activities with them such as jungle cooking, watching how slingshots are made by hand, or making a hat from just a banana tree leaf. Together with your guide, you can watch how a fire is made over a firepit as you cook dinner together in the villages. These special moments are priceless together as family.

We have taken hundreds of families on our tours and treks, traveling with children from infants to teenagers. Our trips are suitable for all ages – old and young!  As all our tours are private, our guides can personalize the whole trip for your families needs and tastes. When our village guides take you on a trek through the forest and farmland they can tailor the pace and route to suit your family. If you require only a short gentle walk on flat terrain, or want to do a walk longer and deeper through the forest – just let your guide know !

Our treks and tours can also include other child-friendly activities, such as a visit to an ethical elephant camp, bamboo rafting, and playing the waters of a waterfall.

The Homestay Experience

Our hill tribe homestays are a uniquely educational experience for kids of all ages from the toddler to teenage years. They open your child’s eyes to another culture and way of life. We often hear that the hill tribe homestay experience is a ‘life-changing experience’ – and that is from adults. There’s no doubt that this experience makes a lifelong impression on adults and children alike !

Safety

Above all else, safety is always the number one priority on our tours.  This includes all safety aspects such as food hygiene, and road safety. We use only experienced drivers (especially needed on the mountain roads here), and vehicles with safety belts for all passengers. We can provide child and infant car seats upon request. Whilst there will always be risks when we travel, we do everything we can to minimise these.
