Akha hill tribe village Chiang Rai

Visit to the Akha hill tribe village of 'Ban Lorcha' a Community based tourism village (Chiang Rai). This project is based on an alternative model of village tourism, as it is owned and managed by the villagers themselves instead of third parties. Local village guides demonstrate aspects of traditional Akha hill tribe life such as; dancing, cotton weaving and animal traps. Profits from entrance fees, go back into the village development fund.
