With over 10 years experience, Thailand Hilltribe Holidays offers cultural and authentic tours of northern Thailand to Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son and authentic hill tribe villages. Our style of tours aims to show you the local way of life by observing and participating with locals, allowing travellers to experience the real northern Thailand, not the tourist version of it. We prefer to get off the beaten path and explore remote and rural areas away from the tourist crowds, delving deeper into the culture and local way of life.

Family Friendly
Experienced in taking the whole family from young children to grandparents around Northern Thailand, our family friendly tours offer something special for all ages. It’s a great cultural experience for all the family, for example at the hilltribe homestay there are always lots of children in the village to bond and play with, opening your children's eyes to how other people in this part of the world live.

With many local communities negatively impacted by mass tourism we aim to redress the balance, by channelling tourism in a way that contributes to the welfare and sustainable development of communities. There are many touristic hill tribe villages in Thailand, and it can be difficult for travellers to find a way to visit authentic villages in a non-intrusive way. Our small private group tours offer a way for travellers to gain an authentic insight into hilltribe culture and way of life, in a natural and non-intrusive way whilst giving back to local people too. We also work closely with hill tribe communities in Mae Hong Son province on various development programs and our small scale tours provide supplemental income for villagers.
